2019 Trends for Purpose-Driven Companies

Just before the holiday season, our Brands Taking Stands Newsletter published a review of 2018 trends in business by Cone Communications, another invaluable assessment by the PR and marketing agency that specializes in purpose-driven business. A recent Cone webinar re-capped that summary of last year and also projected trends to watch for in 2019.The first of the five topics to pay attention to in the coming year is not surprising: diversity and inclusion has grown to become the number one issue on many corporate agendas. The remaining four subjects, all equally increasing in importance, are 1) employees look to lend a hand, 2) cause comeback, 3) harnessing the horizon of technology for good, and 4) political issues continue to dominate.
