Aflac, New York State Association of Health Care Providers and Global Center for Medical Innovation Deliver 80,000 Face Shields to Protect New York's Frontline Workers

NEW YORK /3BL Media/ – Aflac Incorporated, a leader in supplemental insurance at U.S. worksites, has partnered with the New York State Association of Health Care Providers (NYSHCP) and the Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI) to provide face shields to downstate home- and community-based care agencies that continue to deal with hot spots of COVID-19 cases. Courtesy of a $2 million donation by Aflac, home care agencies in New York City and Long Island are receiving face shields as part of a national pandemic response. 

“The community response and support from corporate partners like Aflac has been truly inspiring,” said Kathy Febraio, CAE, president and CEO of NYSHCP. “As health care providers continue to fight the global pandemic, this donation will assist home care providers in protecting their patients and staff as they deliver vital home care services to the state’s most vulnerable individuals.
