Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) to speak at the Global Conflict Minerals Symposium

The EICC, a coalition of the world’s leading electronics companies, announced as latest speakers at the Global Conflict Minerals Symposium.  The coalition aims to improve efficiency and social, ethics and environmental responsibility in the global supply chain realm.  EICC are pioneers in the industry through the development of the Conflict-Free Smelter program and its protocol.

This event, presented by the Conflict Minerals Consortium coincides with the 1-year anniversary of the Dodd-Frank Section 1502 Conflict Minerals Final Rule.  

The invitation-only Symposium will convene a diverse cross-section of speakers including U.S. State Department, Tata Consulting Services Group, Resource Global, Biogen Idec, Elm Consulting, University of California, Schulth Roth & Zabel, Global Witness, European Union, U.S. Government Accountability Office, and more.

The symposium will provide participants with a forum to share their practical experience, insights, and vision for achieving conflict-free sourcing practices globally with the implementation of effective regulations.

Final speaker submissions are due by June 15, 2013.
