FPT Industrial, the global powertrain brand of CNH Industrial, is a partner of Electric Days, the first digital event entirely dedicated to the electrification of vehicles, taking place between 8 to 12 February 2021. Organized by Motorsport Network in collaboration with Condé Nast (Wired, GQ, Vanity Fair), the event features five days of debates, virtual meetings, inquiries and purchase guides to understand the technology and to make an informed choice on today's and tomorrow's cars.

FPT Industrial is the only industrial engine manufacturer on a list of partners that includes a full house of all the elite global car manufacturers, as well as important energy and technology companies.

On 9 February, at 5:15 pm, during the Electric Talk meetings, where the discussion was about electric vehicles with industry, the techniques and protagonists of the technological transition. Davide De Silvio, FPT Industrial's Sales Development ePowertrain manager, took part in a debate on evolutionary possibilities of the electric engine and specifically, the level of development of current electric engines, as well as the possible improvements to charger and inverter efficiency, the use of data to increase performance and parallel development for battery and hydrogen electric. The debate, which brought the issue of today's and tomorrow's electric engines to the forefront, can be streamed.

The Sound of the Future

“Preludio Remix by Giorgio Moroder” is now available on all the FPT Industrial digital channels. The internationally renowned artist, a three-time Academy Award winner, has conceived a new musical creation for FPT Industrial which reinterprets the melodies and harmonies of “Preludio” the sound of the future created to be the soundtrack for FPT Industrial engines.

Compared to the original version, presented at CES in Las Vegas in January 2020, this remix reinterprets some of the iconic atmospheres of the ’80s with a more modern dance style and with the essential, simple but ingenious Moroder touch. It, also introduces a special effect that immediately brings to mind the sound of the new engines of the future.

With “Preludio Remix”, Giorgio Moroder, in partnership with FPT Industrial, shows us not only how to move on the dance floor but also how to move on the road in a way that is cleaner and more sustainable, but still electrifying.

“Being able to imagine the sound of the energy transition toward zero-emissions mobility was an exciting adventure that I shared with my friends at FPT Industrial and that I can't wait to share with the whole world”, said Giorgio Moroder. “I have always had a great passion for innovation: in the ’70s I was one of the first to introduce the synthesizer to the world of pop music world and in the ’80s I was one of the first to do digital recording. Working on the sound of the engine of the future gave me the chance to think about how much the concept of innovation goes hand in hand with that of humanization, and I represented that in Preludio Remix: I used the synthesizer, but also strings, trumpet and percussion, and the result is a perfect mix.”

Event Partner

Also, as an event partner, FPT Industrial will have an “electric space” on-site, where information will be available on the brand's electric mobility innovations and the related ongoing projects, as well as an engaging video interview with Annalisa Stupenengo, President Powertrain, CNH Industrial, discussing engines and alternative drives in terms of the present and the future, and how the brand sees the future of sustainability.

“Being the only industrial engine manufacturer invited to this event is extremely satisfying for us”, said Carlo Moroni, FPT Industrial's Head of Communication. “And, above all, it is an educational commitment that reiterates the crucial - but often little known - role that industrial vehicles play in the energy transition process through electric engines and axles.”
