KeyBank Foundation Supports Pittsburgh Promise with $500,000 Grant

PITTSBURGH – The KeyBank Foundation announced it has invested $500,000 in The Pittsburgh Promise to support the organization’s vision of equipping urban youth with the tools they need to reach post-secondary success, as well as driving economic growth in the region. Key’s latest investment brings their support total to $1.5 million, contributing to additional scholarships for KeyBank Scholars of The Pittsburgh Promise

“For more than a decade, The Pittsburgh Promise has helped transform the lives of thousands of students within the Pittsburgh area,” said Dwayne Finney, KeyBank Western Pennsylvania Market President. “At Key, we are dedicated to connecting our neighbors to opportunities that allow them to thrive and this is one of the many ways we can accomplish that. We are so proud to support the ongoing mission of The Pittsburgh Promise and give students across the region hope for a bright future.”

The Pittsburgh Promise has raised $231 million of its $265 million fundraising goal and has invested more than $161 million in post-secondary scholarships for over 10,600 urban youth. Nearly 4,000 Promise scholarship recipients have graduated with a post-secondary degree and have added value to the regional workforce at over 650 local organizations.
