Building a Business Case for Sustainability: Theory vs. Practice

Effective corporate responsibility practices require companies to stay informed on the issues confronting them, as well as strategies for economically viable business cases, technical approaches for integration, and insight on how leading companies tackle similar issues. The 2016 Summit is a unique opportunity to support your organization’s efforts to identify risk and strategies to better manage the outcome. Stay ahead of the CR curve by engaging with forward-thinking leaders in the field and by discovering new insights and industry best practices.

This year’s Summit, scheduled for April 27 – 28, 2016, at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan, is tailored to those working on all aspects of corporate responsibility and sustainability — environmental, compliance, operations, sales, finance,  procurement, and supply chain — management at companies in the automotive and heavy equipment industry and technology sectors.

Four session tracks will be offered:

  1. Awareness: Issues impacting managers and their company's performance
  • Which social & human rights issues do companies need to manage?
  • What are the applications for small and large companies?
  1. Technical: Strategic approaches and resources for integrating sustainability
  • How can environmental management and integration strategies result in increased reporting and performance?
  • What are the pros and cons?
  1. Strategies: Creating economically viable business cases for sustainable initiatives
