In March 2021, Climate Change Business Journal (CCBJ) recognized Tetra Tech with Consulting & Engineering and Project Merit Awards for the company’s work during 2020. EBI Inc. presented the annual CCBJ awards for outstanding businesses at its virtual Environmental Industry Summit held March 12, 2021.

CCBJ recognized Tetra Tech with their Consulting & Engineering Award for our continued work to advance offshore wind energy. Our team supported Dominion Energy in becoming the first utility to install offshore wind turbines in U.S. federal waters. Under the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Pilot Project, Tetra Tech served as the lead environmental consultant for Dominion Energy’s 12-megawatt offshore wind project located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia and facilitated all federal and state permitting work and construction compliance monitoring and training.

CCBJ also recognized Tetra Tech with their Project Merit Award for supporting California State University’s (CSU) decarbonization and climate action efforts across all 23 CSU campuses. Our High Performance Buildings Group used data-driven planning to develop a system-wide decarbonization framework for CSU to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of fossil fuel-based systems. The CSU system can realize a 70 percent reduction potential in natural gas consumption, meet their climate action commitments, and support California’s goal to be carbon neutral by 2025.
