On February 17, 2017, Dream Big: Engineering Our World, a new film that shows the far-reaching impacts of engineering, will premiere around the world. As part of a larger movement to address the call for increased Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) involvement from children from diverse backgrounds, this movie aims to bring engineering to the forefront of our culture. Tetra Tech is a cosponsor of the Denver, Colorado, premiere event at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – Colorado Section.

The movie highlights the impact of engineering in daily life and throughout our world. It also goes behind the scenes to show some the world’s most exciting inventions and structures, such as the iconic Shanghai Tower, for which Tetra Tech provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering and IT and security-related services. The film emphasizes how engineering is much more than hard numbers and requires creativity to successfully achieve our goals.

Dream Big is designed to foster connections between science centers, where the film will be screened, and the local community. The team behind the film created hands-on activities, lesson plans, and much more to get people of all ages involved in this movement.

Dream Big echoes the values of Tetra Tech’s STEM’s program, which aims to inspire students to become innovators who will solve the world’s most challenging problems, and the company’s commitment to improving the world by Leading with Science. We are honored to support the premiere of this film and look forward to being part of the Dream Big movement to further advance interest in STEM, ultimately creating a better planet.
