The Bloomberg Businessweek 50 identifies companies in the S&P 500 with the best recent performance and outlook for the future. They’re evaluated on four factors: one-year and five-year risk-adjusted returns, consensus analyst recommendations, and projected earnings growth. This year health care, media, and retail brands dominated the list.
