Yum! Brands Celebrates 17 Years, with 17,000 Pounds of Food

To celebrate Yum!'s 17 years as a company, Louisville, Ky Yum! associates rolled up their sleeves and brought in canned goods Friday, October 3 as part of the annual Founder's Day Food Drive.
The event invites both associates and the greater Louisville community to donate canned goods at a collection site on the Restaurant Support Center’s campus. Associates also volunteer to collect and sort donations, which benefit Dare to Care Food Bank and help feed the one in five people in Louisville who are hungry.
Stormy weather didn't deter community participation, with a steady line of cars passing through the drive thru drop off throughout the day. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer was among those who delivered cans during the drive, contributing to the overall total of 17,000 pounds of donated food.
