The link between business sustainability and a thriving business community is more visible today than at any time in recent past. Business sustainability is noted as providing solutions to complex problems; specifically in business and community development, it can create solutions sparked by unusual pairings. But, those pairings have to work. A key component of a corporate sustainability plan is assessing where the organization currently resides in relation to environmental, social, and economic impacts. Using that information as well as its key metrics, knowledge of corporate culture, and sustainability vision, the company is better suited to identify partners to compliment and expand upon its sustainable business strategies.
