Dell Named As a 2014 World's Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute

By Richard Rothberg

Today, Dell was recognized as a 2014 World’s Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute, an independent center of research promoting best practices in corporate ethics and governance.

This designation is given to companies “that continue to raise the bar on ethical leadership and corporate behavior” and is based on a company’s understanding of the correlation between ethics, reputation and daily interactions with its customers and others. Dell is one of only 10 companies in the technology sector honored this year.

As our Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer Mike McLaughlin said in our media announcement, “doing the right thing, and winning the right way is personal at Dell. It’s the way we do business.” This award recognizes Dell’s commitment to integrity and our promise to continue to strive to live our purpose and values in all we do.

We have a strong culture of accountability that encourages all team members, at all levels, to raise their hands and speak up about issues. We couldn’t have achieved this award without the dedication of all our employees to living Dell’s purpose and values in the way they interact with each other, customers, partners and vendors.

We know our customers and business partners want to work with a company that will enhance their reputation, who they can trust and depend on, and feel confident we will not cut corners. This award affirms our commitment for doing business the right way.

Who we are, what we stand for, and the fact we conduct our business ethically at all times will never change.
