GE places at Number 13 in Fortune's list of World's Most Admired Companies

World's Most Admired Companies 2011 - from FORTUNE

Fortune Magazine has released its annual list of the World's Most Admired Companies, and it has placed GE at number 13, up 3 places from last year. The 2011 list was topped by internet giant, Google. GE is also considered an industry-leader, ranking first out of all electonics companies. The World's Most Admired Companies list is compiled based on a number of criteria, including innovation, people management, social responsibility, financial soundness and global competitiveness. This year's list includes 350 companies from 57 industries.
