Growing Business Sustainability Expectations Among Eco-Educated Consumers

Today’s more educated and eco conscious consumers are seeking out companies that deliver on what they claim.  Faced with an expanding set of consumer expectations, leading business sustainability minded organizations now realize that consumers and other stakeholders are in fact in a leveraged position to drive change in the business world. 

Does business reputation matter?  According to a recent study, nearly 77 percent of a Harris Interactive survey believe that corporate reputations are either “not good” or “terrible.”  While an improvement from an 88 percent negative response in the previous year, there is still much work to be done in stabilizing consumer perceptions.   There is value of strengthening a business reputation through demonstrated action.  To get started, keep it simple.  Begin by implementing some good business practices: click here to continue reading.
