Inspiring Students to Take Flight During National Aviation Week

On August 19, 1871, world-renowned aviation pioneer Orville Wright was born. Along with sibling Wilbur, the Wright Brothers invented and engineered the first motor-operated airplane. Thanks to their world-altering creation, President Franklin D. Roosevelt established August 19th as National Aviation Week.

Today, airplanes move people as well as life-saving pharmaceuticals, mail, electronics, clothes, and even other airplanes!
