Adobe Construcciones, an Argentinian construction company based in Alvear, in the province of Santa Fe in the East of the Country has been a customer of New Holland Construction, a global construction brand of CNH Industrial, for over a decade.

Today, the business is led by Virginia García Riestra, someone who was born into and grew up in the construction business. Together with her husband and business partner, she is at the helm of the Company, which continues to work in both the public and private sectors and employs some 250 people working in civil engineering, industrial maintenance, infrastructure and sanitation and electrical engineering.

Women leaders

Virginia has been working at Adobe Construcciones for more than a decade and in December 2020 was appointed as managing partner. She also participates in the Board of Directors in the Argentine Chamber of Construction, for the City of Rosario.

Virginia thinks that construction offers women a good work life balance, “Women are good multitaskers: we can maintain both working and personal relationships. Women never stop being wives or mothers, but we are also businesswomen.” As such, Ms. García Riestra, sums up her role as a key decision maker, “I think it is important to emphasize that people who reach these positions do so because they have the ability to develop in the position.” And New Holland Construction is proud to support women’s development in the construction business.
