Nestlé Wins 2017 European Identity and Cloud Award

(3BL Media/Justmeans) – According to Gartner.com, Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a computer security and business discipline that “enables the right individuals to access the right resources at the right times and for the right reasons.” It addresses the need to ensure appropriate access to resources across diverse technology environments and to meet increasingly rigorous compliance requirements.

At the 11th European Identity & Cloud Conference (EIC) held in Munich last month, KuppingerCole presented the European Identity & Cloud Awards 2017, honoring outstanding projects and initiatives in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and other areas of computer and cloud security.

Nestlé was presented with the coveted award for "Best IAM Project" at the Conference. The AMIGO (Access Management Identity Governance) program at Nestlé has a goal of standardizing processes for business operations across the globe. With hundreds of thousands of identities under governance and millions of entitlements, the scale of the deployment adds an extra dimension to the business challenge.

Ryan Bagan, Identity and Access Management Lead at Nestlé, said that the company is honored to have won this recognition from the industry. Commenting on the award, Ian Yoxall, Principal Consultant at Intragen said that transforming processes in a company of the size of Nestlé takes great leadership, supported by strong technical expertise and delivery.

Intragen, a market leader in the development and deployment of identity and access management solutions, played a role in helping Nestlé realize their vision.
