Wells Fargo Donates To Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts
(3BL Media/Justmeans) - Amidst the misery that Hurricane Harvey is spreading in Texas, human resilience and compassion bring some light to the tragedy. But all help is needed. In order to relieve the suffering of the victims of the floods, financial services company Wells Fargo has announced it donated $1 million, with $500,000 going to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the same amount to NGOs running recovery and relief efforts in Texas.
Since Tuesday 29, Wells Fargo customers have been able to donate to the American Red Cross’ hurricane relief efforts at Wells Fargo ATMs nationwide. Donations are free of charge so the Red Cross receives the full amount.
Also since Tuesday, customers all over the country can redeem any amount of their available rewards and donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund through Tuesday, September 12. Customers can access their rewards account here or calling Go FarTM Rewards Service Center at 1-877-517-1358.
Wells Fargo is waiving ATM fees for customers in the affected areas, besides reversing other fees for consumer products, including credit cards and checking accounts. Wells Fargo’s mobile response unit will be entering the affected areas once the situation there is stabilized to help customers receive and process insurance checks as they begin to rebuild.
