PepsiCo Named Top Food and Beverage Company in 2011 Dow Jones Sustainability Index

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) named PepsiCo the beverage sector leader for the third consecutive year.  The company has now been named a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index six times and the World Index five times. Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes are the first global indexes tracking the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. Based on the cooperation of Dow Jones Indexes and SAM, they provide asset managers with reliable and objective benchmarks to manage sustainability portfolios.

A consortium of leading global organizations today launched a first-of-its-kind practical guide to help companies maintain operational security while ensuring respect for human rights and humanitarian law. The Implementation Guidance Tools to the widely recognized multi-stakeholder initiative, the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, are particularly targeted at companies operating in geographical areas of conflict and weak governance.

Scott Jackson, who starts in his new role October 3, brings 20-plus years of experience in strategic fundraising. He will be directly responsibility for workplace giving, campaign management for the Combined Federal Campaigns, public and private-sector partnerships, and strategic alliances. Jackson joins Global Impact after five years as Vice President for External Relations at PATH. Earlier, he managed a fundraising portfolio of more than $60 million. He also founded TRADEC (Trade and Development Consortium), one of the first marketing and communications firms in North America to specialize in international trade promotion, technology transfer and market access.
