First Renaissance Center tenant to receive recognition from the United States Green Building Council
DETROIT, Jan. 11, 2013 /3BL Media/ — Deloitte announced that its Detroit office at 200 Renaissance Center was awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the United States Green Building Council.
Deloitte is the first Renaissance Center tenant to earn LEED certification. It also is the first commercial interior project in Detroit to achieve LEED Gold status, according to the Green Building Certification Institute’s online database.
LG Electronics and the EPA are teaming up on a number of environmental programs that leverage the technical expertise of the federal agency. An EPA 2012 Energy Star Partner of the Year, LG has made a commitment to several new initiatives. They include joining the Energy Star Commercial Building and the EPA WasteWise Programs, supporting the EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management programs for electronics and food waste recycling, and achieving LEED certifications from the U.S.
