Is Your Furnace a Dirty Thief?

Start 2013 by checking and changing your furnace filter!

According to http://energystar.gov, as much as half of the energy used in your home goes to heating and cooling. At a minimum, you should change the filter in your furnace every three months it is in use.

A dirty filter will slow down air flow and make the system work harder to keep you warm. A clean filter will prevent dust and dirt from building up in the system, saving you energy and money.

That’s the reason why I proposed my idea to the University of Brussels, more specifically to the electro-mechanical department of the Polytechnic School. And luckily enough, my proposal was accepted and two students were eventually chosen to carry out this work for their master thesis!
