To mark the milestone of Sands Cotai Central’s opening in 2012, Sands China Ltd. created an anniversary celebration that not only delighted guests and patrons, it extended special benefits and engaged a number of local community organizations. A highlight of the anniversary celebration was a carnival at the property’s Paradise Gardens, in which 50 Sands China Care Ambassadors hosted 50 members of the Macao Special Olympics (MSO) to participate in activities such as balloon twisting, caricature sketching, magic shows, face painting, and more.
Like a seatbelt, a life jacket has to be worn to be useful. Every summer, Scott Jolley goes on a mission to ensure boaters and swimmers understand the importance of wearing a life jacket.
Jolley runs Duke Energy’s free life jacket loan program in North Carolina and South Carolina. Life jacket loaner stations are at more than 20 locations at lakes, rivers and creeks, and Jolley's team plans to add more each year.

On May 22, Astellas marked the inaugural Legal Community Advocacy, Representation and Service (CARES) Day, where employees from the Legal and Intellectual Property (IP) department around the world dedicated a day to volunteering in the communities where they live and work.
