Last week’s discussions at the Bloomberg Business of Equality Summit proved that the topic of gender equality is ubiquitous – companies can no longer ignore gender-related issues in the workplace. Policies and practices that promote equality benefit everyone – employees are happier, more productive and exhibit a greater sense of loyalty. Not surprisingly, we also know that companies that prioritize inclusion tend to outperform those that do not.
Ahead of the June 3 premiere of his new FX series Pose, a dance musical about ball culture in 1980s New York City, writer and producer Ryan Murphy announced he will donate 100% of his profits from the show to trans and LGBTQ charities across the U.S. The series features the largest cast of transgender actors in regular roles in TV history, as well as the largest recurring cast of LGBTQ actors ever for a scripted series.

Susan Benzel, Hewlett Packard Labs’ Program Manager for the Machine, has won Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s 2018 Women's Excellence Award.
One of 10 women at HPE to recognized with the award, Benzel is described by her supervisor, HPE Senior Program Manager Katy Evertson, as tireless in her contributions not only to her day job, but also to being part of the Fort Collins Leadership Core team as well as her many contributions to the local Fort Collins community.
