The $10 million relocation of a research facility in the US has enabled AkzoNobel to transform its biggest energy user in North America into one of the smartest and most energy efficient.

The Taipei 101 skyscraper, once the tallest structure in the world, recently added another notable distinction in its short-but-accomplished history: it’s now the world’s “greenest” tower. That’s why the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is working to develop an IAQ scoring tool.  

The scorer will function much like a HERS score. It will take a series of measurements conducted by a third party to determine the home’s IAQ rating.
