Engaging our employees in our strong safety culture this Safety Month
Article
Tetra Tech’s employee participation and engagement are vital to the success of our Health & Safety program—we strive to engage more employees each year during Safety Month. We believe a successful safety program must include engaging employees in various safety processes at all levels.
When employees are well informed about safety practices in their workplace, they are more aware of their surroundings. Research shows that 70 percent fewer safety incidents occur in highly engaged workplaces, which is a win-win for both employees and employers.
Now more than ever, we recognize that your company needs to minimize business interruption, maintain business continuity, and build resilience for the future. This is especially critical for highly regulated industries like financial services, government, as well as healthcare and life sciences. Security and compliance have never been more important, especially as employees rapidly move to working remotely.
Addressing the four types of hazards that most frequently result in injury to our employees
Article
Tetra Tech’s Focus Four Injury Prevention Program (FOCUS 4) is a foundational component of our Health & Safety program. FOCUS 4 addresses the four types of hazards that most frequently result in injury to our employees. For Safety Month, we want to show how we are Safer and Stronger Together by ensuring everyone is aware of these hazards and can take the necessary precautions to avoid them.
Our goals for this program are that each employee is aware of the FOCUS 4 program, understands what it means, recognizes these hazards, and the common controls that can be applied.

Testing is a crucial component of our global response to COVID-19. The more people we can test for the virus, the better we can understand the threat we’re up against.
Producing enough tests and making them available to the public is just one half of this challenge. Processing the results quickly is the other.
