The demand for employee giving and volunteering programs that stretch across borders is growing. Last year, we saw a whopping 85% increase in the adoption of the Benevity OneWorld™ international solution. More than half a million new users logged into the cloud-based program that enables employees across global offices to support causes inside and outside of their home countries.
Among adults 25 and older employed in STEM jobs, only 9 percent are black and 7 percent Hispanic, according to Pew Research Center. The percentages in engineering are 5 percent black and 8 percent Hispanic1.

When it comes to embracing diversity, Cisco is in a class by itself. We not only have a diverse workforce – we continuously honor it. Through our Employee Resource Organizations (ERO) we support our employees as they establish deeper connections with one another while celebrating their cultures. These celebrations are also great opportunities to invite others to join in on the festivities and learn more about one another.

Today Dell Technologies released its final progress report against our 2020 Legacy of Good Plan. You’ll recall we established this plan back in 2013 to put our technology and talents to work where they can do the most good for people and the planet.
Here’s a question I love asking companies: Why is your employee volunteer program important? We usually end up talking about indicators: The amount of resources, money, and time companies invest in developing and maintaining employee volunteering programs. The depth and breadth of business alignment and integration are another. High employee participation rates and access to consistent, measurable community impact data. These all indicate importance.
