Customers and Crewmembers join Miami Beach Residents to Build a New Playground at Crespi Park
FORT LAUDERDALE, March 23, 2015 /3BL Media/ - JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) welcomes South Florida residents to enjoy Miami Beach’s newest, safe playspace at Crespi Park. More than 200 of the airline’s customers and crewmembers joined Miami Beach residents on March 19 to rebuild the dilapidated park. Children discover the world through play. The new Crespi Park will restore play to more than 1,200 local children and families in Miami Beach by providing a safe location for recreation.

For Julie Gilgoff, Michael Weiner Scholarship for Labor Studies recipient, it was her grandfather that inspired her passion for the labor movement.
“Although we never met, I like to believe that I took after him,” Gilgoff said recently. Her grandfather, Max Gilgoff, was a leader in both the American Labor Party and the Teachers Guild, which was the predecessor to the United Federation of Teachers in New York’s public schools. Like her grandfather, Gilgoff also became a teacher some years after college.
