AIDA guests support social projects by buying a raffle ticket
December 27, 2017 /3BL Media/ -- The annual New Year’s Raffle is taking place aboard all of the ships in the AIDA Cruises fleet. The proceeds from the raffle will once again go to a number of different projects.
For more than ten years, AIDA Cruises has supported the work of SOS Children’s Village with its worldwide projects for disadvantaged children. Thanks to our guests, it has been possible to support various SOS Children’s Village measures in Germany, Africa and the Philippines with donations totaling over one million euros.

Tetra Tech has been a longtime supporter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB), helping communities around the world meet their basic human needs. Tetra Tech partnered with the EWB Boston Professional Chapter to help bring clean, reliable water to the 4,000 residents of Mapinduzi, Tanzania. Tetra Tech supported the project through its 2016 Charity of the Year employee giving campaign, which raised funds for system installation in 2017.
BENTON HARBOR — Hundreds of vehicles sat Thursday along the streets of downtown Benton Harbor, all angled toward a bustling warehouse that was packed with food.
It marked the third year that the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency held its Holiday Food Sharing Program in Benton Harbor. The program collects and distributes more than 400 turkeys and food boxes to residents and families in need of help from the Twin Cities and surrounding Berrien County communities.

Fueled by customer generosity, store teams gave more than 20,000 turkeys and hams for holiday dinners while generous and engaged customers donated thousands of tons of additional food for people in need.
It was 615 long days for William. That’s how long he spent in foster care. Unsure of when he’d have a permanent home. Nearly two years of moving, two years of uncertainty, two years of never feeling settled. That all changed this past November when he was finally adopted by the McIntosh family.
William’s family says, “William is such a gift and we are so pleased he is our son.”
UNION COUNTY — An agreement between Union County and the company that operates its landfill is not only benefiting the county and the company but is also helping facilitate the growth of the Spartanburg Community College Union County campus which further benefit the county and the company.
In 2016, Union County entered into a new host agreement with Republic Services LLC covering the regional landfill the company operates in the Cross Keys area of the county.
