More than ten years ago, Make-A-Wish® granted Bryce’s wish to have a bass-fishing boat. Now, Bryce is a 23-year-old graduate and still fondly recalls what his wish meant to him.

At 13, Bryce was in the hospital for chemotherapy treatments and missing the freedom of being outdoors and going fishing. He decided to purposefully schedule his wish day for the day after he finished chemotherapy. This way, he had something to look forward to while he was in the hospital.

Throughout February and March, Cox Enterprises will partner with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity to build two new homes.

#TeamCox volunteers began the homes on Feb. 7 and will continue on Feb. 14, Feb. 21, Feb. 28, Mar. 7, Mar. 14 and Mar. 21.

The company is a longtime supporter of the organization. Cox volunteers have donated more than 30,000 hours to build 19 Habitat for Humanity houses in Atlanta. The James M. Cox Foundation contributed $250,000 toward Atlanta Habitat's new, environmentally sustainable headquarters building.

Recently, 10 employees from our Princeton office joined Make-a-Wish New Jersey to help grant a wish for 16 year-old Cal and his family. Cal and his sister have been diagnosed with the same life threatening medical condition but that hasn’t stopped Cal’s love of watching movies. His fondest wish was to have a ‘movie theater’ room makeover so that he can watch movies with his family.
