According to the USDA, nearly 22 million children rely on free and reduced-priced lunch to sustain a full and nutritious diet nationwide - only 18% of children that receive school lunch access summer meal assistance. To help ensure that these children get enough to eat during the summer months, local Clubs partnered with hunger-relief agencies in July to donate both food and funds to support various summer feeding programs.

Daniel Wiens was getting ready to graduate from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California with a degree in construction management. Most students were preparing to work on theoretical thesis projects. He decided there had to be a more practical, meaningful approach so he partnered with an architecture student and they designed and built a dental clinic in Belize.
