CBS Radio Hartford Advertisers and Nonprofit First Book Partner to Provide Thousands of New Books to Hartford-Area School

New Books Distributed to 700 Students at Burns Latino Studies Academy During Reading Party

October 28, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Approximately 2,800 new books made their way into the hands of kids from low-income families today thanks to the nonprofit social enterprise First Book and CBS Radio Hartford advertisers.

Through CBS EcoMedia, 700 students at Burns Latino Studies Academy students received brand-new, age-appropriate books. Price Chopper Supermarkets, Harte Auto, Shoppes at Farmington Valley, Columbia Dental, New England Air Museum, Eblens, and Lincoln Technical Institute contributed funding through participation in EcoMedia’s EducationAd program.

Canadian Consumers Willing to Engage with Companies on Good Works

TORONTO, October 28, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Canadian consumers are open to contributing to good causes through the companies they do business with.  These are the results of a recent survey conducted by Ipsos Reid and released at the inaugural Companies and Causes Canada conference in Toronto today.

Giving at the cash register and a donation-embedded purchase are the top two ways Canadian consumers would consider joining companies in their good works, each cited almost six in ten of respondents in the survey, a collaboration between the Cause Marketing Forum and Ipsos Reid.
