Dr. Munazza Yaqoob and her students at the International Islamic University, Islamabad's Critical Thinking Forum spend most of the year researching the role of women in Pakistani society and in cultures around the world. Thanks to the efforts of Fox Studios and filmmaker Jennifer Lee, Dr. Yaqoob and the students got to expand their studies and their perspectives this summer through a special field trip to the Fox lot in Los Angeles.

One of our suppliers in India, a nonprofit called Society for Child Development (SCD), founded by Dr. Madhumita Puri, had been working on recycling waste through a “Trash to Cash” program. SCD’s approach helps differently abled women and men earn a dignified livelihood through converting waste into products. In India, one notable source of waste comes from the flowers used at temples, which are then discarded. SCD helps collect these flowers every morning, after which they are sorted, cleaned, dried, powdered and turned into a product for the Indian festival of colors called Holi. Dr.

Redefining What It Means To 'Man Up'

Every year Father's Day becomes more special to me. This year was especially meaningful.  Three months ago my wife and I welcomed our fourth child to our family -- and our first baby girl.  So, perhaps it's because I'm more in tune than ever with the holiday, but it seems to me there was also more fanfare around Father's Day in general this year -- more Facebook posts honoring fathers, more restaurants offering specials, more church sermons about dad.
