1,000 Goddesses Come to D.C. to Invoke Tibetan Prophesy for a Divinely Feminine Planetary Healing
Just weeks before the Presidential election, 1000 Goddesses will gather this Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Washington, D.C. for a visionary wisdom and compassion gathering to transcend the politics of fear, greed and separation. This free event will take place on the National Mall at Constitution Gardens, just West of the Washington Monument from 11 am to 5:30 pm.
The Gathering is based upon a Tibetan myth that when 1000 Goddesses or Taras gather, the divine feminine will rebirth through their combined energies, and the tone of the planet will shift from one of fear to compassion. The event will convene women, along with men as Sacred Guardians and members of the LGBTQI community, to bring healing Divine Feminine energies into Washington, D.C. so that they may ripple from there throughout the world. Corollary events are being planned in several cities in Mexico, France, Montreal, Toronto, Mumbai and throughout the United States. The numbers continue to grow. All will be linked in with the Gathering in Washington, DC.
Elizabeth Kucinich will be offering welcoming remarks to open the Gathering. There will be ceremony, dancing, singing, sharing of grief, forgiveness, and visions for a beautiful future via participatory art spaces—along with joy & gratitude and personal pledges for action.
Attendees will plant potent seeds at this auspicious Gathering to shift away from the destructive trajectory of our current destructive socioeconomic systems to herald a positive arc for humanity in support of a beautiful New World. The visionary behind this monumental event, Mare Cromwell commented, “Now is the time for deep healing and to bring sacred balance back to Earth!”
A nine-foot goddess statue will anchor the Gathering with healing stations and altars around her. In addition, there will be chocolate stations around the site to energize the inner goddess for all attendees.
This Wisdom and Compassion Gathering is founded on the ancient tradition of Wisdom Gatherings where elders come together around Sacred Fire in council to teach, tell stories, tune into the wisdom of the fire and maintain peace and balance in their village. Gaia Mystic and award-winning author, Mare Cromwell, initially received the spiritual call to organize the event late in the fall of 2015. The original plan was for a large Gathering to take place in 2017 at a rural retreat center in Maryland. However, in late July she received very specific spiritual instructions that the event needed to happen in Washington. D.C., before the elections this fall.
