A Farm Which Puts Families Back in Touch With Nature

In Baldissero Torinese, a small community nestled in the majestic hills surrounding the Northern Italian city of Turin, adults and young people are getting back in touch with nature. Less than half an hour from the city’s bustling center is the Paideia Social Farm, a space where families can come together to learn, experiment and share unforgettable experiences in the great outdoors. It offers families, especially those with disabled children, the chance to learn about how to care for plants and animals.

This ‘learning’ is conducted in a fun and friendly environment, through engaging workshops and special ‘theme’ days. For example, small children can get their hands dirty in the accessible vegetable garden and learn about cycle of the seasons, and just why they are so important. Or maybe they will turn their hand to looking after some of the animals, or even finding out about the lifecycle of bees. It also enables them to escape the hubbub of city life for a few hours. The Paideia Social Farm also hosts residential stays with on-site, accessible rooms, and is not only for families, but also hosts school groups as well as corporate team building activities.

CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI / MI:CNHI) brand New Holland is committed to transmitting both the importance of, and the joy that can be derived from farming, in the broadest sense of the world. And as a result, all visitors will be able to get up close and personal with one of the brand’s tractors – a TD4.80F – on loan to the organization free of charge, from the local dealer Racca Group, to help them with their fruit and horticultural activities.
