Campaign: Fueling Good

On Feb. 27, 2013, Baltimore-based CITGO Marketer Carroll Independent Fuel donated $10,000 and 850 pounds of food to the Maryland Food Bank. The food bank serves more than 600 food providers throughout Maryland, including soup kitchens, food pantries, emergency shelters, after-school programs, senior centers and other feeding programs, with facilities in Baltimore and Salisbury.

Between late December 2012 and early February 2013, generous local customers donated more than $3,000 at 50 High’s Dairy Store locations all over Maryland. These donations were matched by both Carroll Independent Fuel and High’s of Baltimore to reach the $10,000 mark.

The employees of Carroll Independent Fuel are committed to giving back to the community they serve. In addition to the donation to the Maryland Food Bank, Carroll employees have raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), Cookies for Kids' Cancer, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Moveable Feast and more.
