At Time Warner Cable, diversity and inclusion are an integral part of our culture. We believe in an inclusive environment, where you can bring your whole self to work.  This extends into our work in the communities that we live in and serve.

For the second consecutive year, Time Warner Cable served as a major sponsor of the MLK Celebration Parade in Charlotte, North Carolina.  This event draws thousands of people to the center city to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  More than 50 members of our local employee networks and their families walked together to show our company’s support for diversity and inclusion and our commitment to giving back to our community.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in celebrating and promoting the worth of every human being. In his pursuit of equal rights by nonviolent means, Dr. King encouraged diverse cultures to live together in a spirit of love, understanding and service to one another.

In that same spirit, Time Warner Cable employee volunteers came together to expand our community's observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Employee volunteers, along with their family memebers and friends embarked on the parade route and received cheers from the spectators.  Many employees remarked that it felt great to be a part of this special celebration.  Even the parade announcers were thrilled to provide a shout out to one of our employees “Hey, there goes my cable guy!”
