Xylem Watermark Volunteers Clean Floodgate Near Bridgeport, New Jersey

Seventeen Xylem employees partnered with the South Jersey Land and Water Trust (SJLWT) at a river clean-up event near a local floodgate in Bridgeport, New Jersey. SJLWT is a nonprofit organization in Swedesboro whose mission is to preserve and protect land and water resources in southern New Jersey. Working with SJLWT, Xylem Watermark volunteers successfully removed a large amount of litter and discarded items from the area.

By participating in a hands-on experience where they were able to see the amount of trash at the floodgate, these Xylem volunteers realized the importance of keeping water sources clean. Through their participation in this event, they helped to protect the water quality of the Delaware River and surrounding water sources.
