Fortune 500 Companies Step Up Renewable Energy Targets
I recently caught up with some long-delayed reading this week. Among the backlog, one report especially stood out (thank you cleantechnica.com for bringing it to my attention). “Power Forward 3.0” finds that 63% of Fortune 100 companies have at least one clean energy target, and 48% of Fortune 500 companies have at least one climate or energy target. That’s up from just 5% in 2014. The report, from the World Wildlife Fund, Ceres, Calvert Research and Management, and the CDP, conveys the good news that big business continues to move toward a clean energy economy, no matter the coal-supporting, climate accord-withdrawing policies of the current administration. Read the details here. That’s business, better, indeed.
