Progress on Climate Change Taking Place, Despite Policy Shift
The pushback against the Trump Administration’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement continues, with thousands of US businesses, states, and cities saying they will maintain their standards in accord with the Paris deal despite the shift in national policy. Meanwhile, there are other, quieter places to look for signs of progress in addressing climate change. For example, housing accounts for 14% of global greenhouse emissions. New research from MDPI finds that reductions in the residential areas surveyed could amount to 15% if its suggested solutions for energy efficiency were adopted. Read the report, The Role of Consumers in the Transition toward Low-Carbon Living, and feel good about change for the better taking place now, regardless of presidential policy.
