AccountAbility Releases German and Simplified Chinese Translations of the AA1000 AccountAbility Principles (AA1000AP, 2018)

September 4, 2020 /3BL Media/ - AccountAbility is expanding global access to principles-based sustainability guidance with the release of German and Simplified Chinese Translations of its signature sustainability management framework and guidance document – the AccountAbility Principles (AA1000AP, 2018).

The AA1000AP (2018) serves as the foundation of the AA1000 Series of Standards, and offers an informed update to the firm’s internationally accepted, principles-based approach to sustainability management for the 21st century. The AccountAbility Principles have been applied for over two decades by organizations of all sizes, and across industry sectors, to successfully identify, prioritize, and respond to sustainability challenges to improve their overall, long-term performance.

Developed by AccountAbility, the German version of the AA1000AP (2018) is peer-reviewed for quality by AccountAbility-licensed assurance provider DQS CFS, Germany. Dr. Thijs Willaert, Director of Sustainability at DQS CFS, shared, “The AA1000 Principles Standard helps organizations to build their sustainability strategy on a solid foundation and to focus their efforts on what truly matters. We felt it was important to make this standard available to a German-speaking audience and are happy to have made our contribution.”

The Simplified Chinese version of the AA1000AP (2018) was sponsored and translated by AccountAbility-licensed assurance provider CECEP Environmental Consulting Group Limited, Hong Kong and was peer-reviewed for quality by DQS, China.
