Banorte-Ixe, committed to the sustainable development of our country, has been working since 2011 to promote initiatives that help strengthen impact investment in Mexico. This new form of investment provides capital to businesses aimed at creating social and/or environmental benefits, as well as, financial returns.

Central to these efforts, Banorte-Ixe:

  • Was present in the Latin American Impact Investment Forum 2011;
  • Became a sponsor of TONIIC Mexico, as well as, of the Latin American Impact Investment Forum 2012; together with other organizations.
  • Launched a loan product with preferential rates to SMEs whose business is focused on cultural activities; and
  • Is honored to be a sponsor of the event The Green Pitch, Where investment impact happens, to be held on September 19 in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

The Green Pitch, organized by New Ventures Mexico, will bring together 130 main representatives of the Latin America impact investment community in order to link the leading regional SMEs that generate a positive environmental and/or social impact, with leading investors.

The event will consist of networking sessions, panels, presentations and a session where each SME will briefly showcase its project (pitch), demonstrating how innovative and replicable it is, as well as, its environmental and/or social impact, in order to attract investors and partners that will allow the SMES to grow.

Once the projects are submitted, Banorte-Ixe’s Senior Director of Legal Entities, who is also the Mexican Banking Association’s Coordinator of the SMEs Credit Committee, Roberto Galarza, will grant a recognition to the winning project.

These activities that seek to expand the opportunities of the SMEs with environmental and/or social purposes, in benefit of society, are the starting point of the work that Banorte-Ixe will continue in order to grow and strengthen the impact investment sector in our country. To Make Mexico Stronger.
