OAKLAND, Calif., October 22, 2014 /3BL Media/ -- Bersin by Deloitte today announced a call for speakers with bold, innovative ideas to participate and present at IMPACT 2015: The Business of Talent™,  the industry's premier research-based executive conference for HR, learning, and talent leaders and their teams.

The eighth annual IMPACT conference takes place April 28 to May 1 at the Trump National Doral Miami, in Miami, Florida. Themed "Bold HR," IMPACT 2015 will focus on innovative solutions to leadership, learning and HR challenges that drive organizational performance in today's rapidly-changing global workplace.

Leading HR, talent and learning executives who want to share their strategic vision and forward-thinking solutions should submit a topic for a presentation, case study, panel, or interactive workshop at IMPACT 2015 Call for Participation. The deadline for submitting speaker proposals is Friday, Nov. 28, 2014.

"Today organizations are embracing new strategies to engage the workforce, leverage big data and analytics, implement network-based recruiting, and revitalize employee learning," said Josh Bersin, principal, Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting LLP. "In this rapidly-evolving environment, our goal at IMPACT is to inspire organizations to think differently, try new approaches, and deliver bold solutions that drive their organizations forward."

It may also be time for HR, learning and talent leaders to reconsider their own roles within the organization, said David Mallon, head of research, Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting LLP.

"HR executives should take a bolder approach within the business, and this may mean changing the tenor of their relationships with key business stakeholders – especially those in the c-suite," Mallon said. "It may also mean taking risks, experimenting with new tools, and rethinking traditional approaches. For example, we want to encourage HR, talent and learning leaders to embrace working with data – and the accountability and transparency that can come from it. Similarly, we want to highlight new solutions and give people the confidence to tackle new challenges – such as reimagining the way we attract, engage and retain talent."

With its focus on Bold HR, IMPACT 2015 will focus on enabling HR, talent and learning executives to:

  • Reengineer the workplace – As more technology floods the workplace (smart watches, wearable devices, and even smarter phones), it is time to look at the entire work environment and do everything possible to make work more humane, rational, and simple.
  • Reimagine talent management – How can HR, talent and learning executives move from focusing on processes and technology to focusing on quality of hire, employee engagement and, ultimately, the bottom line?
  • Rethink learning and development – What is the role of learning and development in today's organization? How do companies optimize learning and development to maximize its value to the business?
