"On behalf of everyone at the Samaritan Community Center, I'd like to thank CITGO for this generous donation," said Debbie Rambo, executive director at Samaritan Community Center. "We have grown so quickly in the past 10 years, but our goal to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly has never changed. The Fueling Good award will help us continue to make a difference every day in the lives of the men, women and children who come to us for help and hope."

Since it was founded in 1989, the SCC has transformed from a food pantry and clothing ministry to a stand-alone nonprofit dedicated to serving the hurting and the hungry of Northwest Arkansas. No matter what an individual or a family needs, SCC works to provide it through the support of its volunteers, financial supporters, community partners and area churches.

"Fueling Good provides yet another opportunity for us to connect with the local communities we serve," said Gustavo Velásquez, vice president of supply and marketing at CITGO. "We are proud to recognize the Samaritan Community Center for the work it has done for people in Northwest Arkansas, and the work it continues to do every day in order to meet the needs of the people it serves."

Over the past four years, CITGO has donated more than a million miles of good to more than 200 local heroes and nonprofit organizations through its Fueling Good program. In the latest campaign, an all-time record of more than 300,000 votes were cast to determine the 12 winning 501(c)(3) organizations.
