100 Companies Sign on to the Corporate Pro Bono Challenge

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Atlanta, GA - December 20, 2010 - UPS (NYSE: UPS) has joined with Corporate Pro Bono (CPBO), Pro Bono Institute (PBI), Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and 99 other major corporations in their dedication to corporate social responsibility through pro bono legal work. The UPS Legal Department has signed on to the Corporate Pro Bono Challenge, a simple, voluntary statement of commitment to pro bono service by legal departments, their lawyers and staff.

"Not only is participation in this program good corporate citizenship, but it also fills a very serious need for legal representation to poor and indigent clients," said Laura Stein, senior vice president and general counsel of The Clorox Company and CPBO Advisory Board Co-Chair.
