Delta has announced a new global partnership with AMFAR, the Foundation for Aids Research, that names the carrier as the official airline of AMFAR in 2011. Through the agreement, Delta will support AMFAR events both domestically as well as in some of Delta’s international markets, including Brazil, France, and Italy. The partnership aligns the airline with a leading nonprofit dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of AIDS-related public policy.
Sainsbury’s has partnered with British Gas to offer solar panels to its supermarket customers. Sainsbury’s Energy will also provide in-store energy saving advice, green-home assessments, and gas and electric tariffs through British Gas services. The partnership is the latest sustainability innovation by the U.K. supermarket retailer, which is stepping up its plans to fit stores with wind turbines and solar panels as part of its strategy to invest in on-site energy generation technologies.
