The New York Life Foundation(@NewYorkLife) has announced a $200,000 grant to the Cristo Rey Network to support that organization’s Educational Enrichment Initiative. The project ensures consistent quality across its member high schools by developing a college-ready curriculum and professional development training for teachers and principals. The Cristo Rey Network supports 24 college prep high schools in 19 cities, focusing on educating inner city youth.

Trend Micro(@TrendMicro) has joined the Internet Watch Foundation, based in the U.K., to stop the online distribution of child pornography. Earlier this year, Trend Micro became the first internet security company to join the U. S. National Center for Missing and Exploited children’s URL Project.  The company develops security software for homes and businesses.
