EarthX Debuts Their New EarthXTV Channel During Climate Week Six Days of Programming Showcase

DALLAS, September 18, 2020 /3BL Media/ – With the mission of becoming the foremost streaming  platform for environmental and sustainability programming, EarthX has announced a robust schedule of  programming for Climate Week on EarthXTV.

“EarthXTV is the culmination of 25 years of work directed toward creating conversations, connections and intentional programming to expand the reach of our mission of educating, inspiring and enabling a more sustainable world. There’s no better time to give  audiences around the globe a peek at what we are building with this channel than climate Climate Week,” said Trammell S. Crow, EarthX Founder. “We have no doubt that when EarthXTV fully launches in October, it will quickly become one of the world’s preeminent outlets for stories, news, entertainment and important conversations about environmentalism, sustainability and what we are doing to protect and preserve our planet,” Trammell S. When it fully launches later this fall, EarthXTV is designed to serve as a conduit for accessible, relevant, informed and timely environmental programming that bridges disciplines, geographies, partisanships and other demographic barriers to educate, engage and promote meaningful solutions. Specially curated content for Climate Week will begin on Monday, September 21 and run through Sunday, September 26 at EarthxTV.org.

EarthxTV programming for Climate Week includes opinion, analysis and reporting, and creative storytelling by global environmental and industry leaders exploring environmental topics around wildlife, people and culture, science and technology, justice and policy, and business.

A few standouts of EarthXTV Climate Week programming include:  

Immersive Storytelling: Wildlife Conservation | EarthXR is partnering with Wild Immersion and Dr. Jane Goodall, for the launch of Wild at Home on Monday, September 21st to kick off Climate Week. Wild at Home, the first virtual nature reserve, will include a selection of 360° immersive videos that transport viewers to Africa, the Amazon, and Asia via their smartphone, tablet, or VR headset.

Conversation: Women Leading on Climate | EarthxTV is hosting the launch of ALL WE CAN SAVE: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis, an anthology of essays, art, and poetry co-edited by climate leaders Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Dr. Katharine Wilkinson. Beginning on Tuesday, September 22nd, EarthXTV will feature the expertise and insights of 43 diverse women leading on climate in the United States via live panel discussions, offering a spectrum of ideas and insights for how we can rapidly, radically reshape society.

Leadership Spotlight: Brad Smith, President of Microsoft | Brad Smith will be interviewed by Bob Perciasepe, President of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, for the launch episode of EarthxCEO on Wednesday, September 23rd. EarthxCEO features compelling stories from top business leaders discussing how they lead their respective companies to a double bottom line. Beyond his role as the President of Microsoft, Brad Smith also serves as the company’s chief legal officer and leads work on a wide range of issues involving the intersection between technology and society, including cybersecurity, privacy, ethics and artificial intelligence, human rights, immigration, philanthropy and environmental sustainability.

Films: Religion and the Climate Movement | EarthxTV, Off The Fence and Carter Roberts, President & CEO of the World Wildlife Fund are coming together to broadcast CelebrationEarth! on Wednesday, September 23rd. Through poetry, giant puppets, storytelling, music and international programs of practical commitments, the event will highlight the new relationship humans are forming with the rest of life on earth. The event will be followed by the announcement of the new feature documentary Laudato Si’ in partnership with the Global Catholic Climate Movement, the Vatican and Off the Fence Productions, a new feature documentary on Pope Francis’s vision of environmental protection and his message in the global conversation on climate change.

Global Conference Series: World Climate Forum | EarthxTV has partnered with the World Climate Foundation to invite its community to take part in a three-part global forum featuring leaders from the environmental community around the world, discussing investments that impact global green recovery now and throughout the decade. The World Climate Forum will kick off on Thursday, September 24thas a series of virtual conferences in North America, Asia, and Europe, forming a united platform for transitioning climate goals into impactful action on the road to COP26. The format will follow a series of online collaborative platforms and innovative digital conferences: bridging continents, sharing sustainable leadership practices, facilitating effective partnerships, and providing scalable solutions to enable the net-zero economy.

Youth Reporting | Planet911 Youth Reports is an emergency wake-up call to the world from today’s youth who are concerned with the future of our planet for tomorrow. Episodes will feature young journalists reporting on a number of relevant topics including the climate crisis, global policy, as well as their individual voting rights and ability to personally affect change. For the launch episode on Friday, September 25th, reporters will interview Senator Sheldon Whitehouse as the first step in their mission to explore voting for a sustainable future, host town hall dialogues on the Climate Crisis with candidates and elected officials leading up to the November Election.
