General Mills Receives Top 5 Ranking on Working Mother’s 2014 “100 Best Companies” List

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., September 18, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Working Mother magazine today recognized General Mills among the top five 2014 Working Mother 100 Best Companies for outstanding leadership in establishing policies, programs and corporate culture that supports working moms.

General Mills’ U.S. employee base is comprised of nearly 50 percent women, and 44 percent of all U.S. management positions are held by women.

Methodology

The 2014 Working Mother 100 Best Companies application includes more than 550 questions on workforce representation, child care, flexibility programs, leave policies and more. It surveys the availability, usage and tracking of programs, as well as the accountability of managers who oversee them.
