Global Impact Appoints Scott Jackson Chief Executive Officer

Non-Governmental Organization Veteran Joins Global Impact to Lead Campaign Management, Workplace Giving, Global Strategies and Partnerships

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Alexandria, VA - September 13, 2011 - Global Impact, whose mission is to assure help for the world’s most vulnerable people, appointed Scott Jackson as Chief Executive Officer, a role he assumes in October of this year.

With more than 20 years of domestic and international non-governmental organization experience, Mr. Jackson will lead Global Impact’s existing and new giving initiatives. He will hold direct responsibility for workplace giving, campaign management for the Combined Federal Campaigns, public and private-sector partnerships, and strategic alliances. Mr. Jackson will report to Renée S. Acosta, President & CEO, Global Impact. Ms. Acosta will retain the title of President with responsibility for governance, organizational policy and overall leadership of Global Impact.   "Mr. Jackson brings a wealth of strategic fundraising, advocacy and constituency-building expertise to this essential position with Global Impact,” Ms. Acosta said. “As we enter our 55th year, we welcome the leadership and vision Mr. Jackson demonstrated throughout a long career committed to sustainable living standards for millions of people worldwide.”   Mr. Jackson joins Global Impact after five years serving as Vice President for External Relations at PATH.   Before joining PATH in 2006, Mr. Jackson was Senior Vice President at World Vision US where he directed external relations, key partnerships, community relations and strategic initiatives. He managed a fundraising portfolio of more than $60 million. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Jackson served as President and Managing Director of APCO Seattle, a worldwide public affairs and strategic communications consulting firm. In 1989, he founded TRADEC (Trade and Development Consortium), one of the first marketing and communications firms in North America to specialize in international trade promotion, technology transfer and market access.   Mr. Jackson holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh School of International Business, and an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of Puget Sound.
