Eastsound, WA, February 28, 2014 /3BL Media/ — Green Builder Media just released its annual list of the hottest products available for today’s green homes. Picked by the editors of Green Builder magazine, this year’s Hot 50 selection reflects the accelerating convergence between digital and material innovation.

“A sea change is coming—across all industries—as Web applications meld with advanced electronics, sensors, and new types of ‘smart’ window glazings, to unleash remarkable connectivity between products and lifestyle,” says Green Builder Editor-in-Chief Matt Power.

Some interesting picks this year include recycled-content transparent panels for interior design, a vehicle charging station, PV glass clay tiles, mushroom insulation, a solar lease product, a walkable PV floor, and much more.

“We chose these products for one of two reasons,” explains Power. “Either they bring something completely new to the sustainability conversation or improve a "tried-and-true" green technology. In both cases, these are companies that wear the white hats of the manufacturing industry.”
